privacy & terms

what atlas is

atlas is a private trip companion for small circles — families and friends planning and travelling together. It is currently run as a private preview by its maker, not as a commercial service.

what we store

Only what the trip needs: trip details (dates, places, bookings you add), the names and emails of people in your circle, shared spend entries and settle-up records, packing and readiness lists, and your conversations with the atlas concierge. Sign-in is handled by Google; we receive your name and email from it — never your password.

what we never do

Nothing is public. Your trip is visible only to the people invited into it. We do not sell or share your data, there are no ads and no trackers beyond what sign-in itself requires. atlas never holds your money — settle-up is a scoreboard; payments happen on your own rails.

the concierge and AI

Concierge replies are generated by an AI model. Your messages and relevant trip context are sent server-side to that model to produce an answer; they are not used to advertise to you. Answers can be wrong — check anything that matters (visas, medications, times) with an official source. Conversations involving children in the circle are governed by a stricter safety persona.

joining a circle

If you ask to join a trip, we store the name and email you submit so the organiser can decide. If they approve, you become part of that trip's circle; if not, the request simply expires with the trip.

deleting your data

Ask the person who organised your trip, or email moadh.bukhash@gmail.com with the trip and your name. Deletion is currently handled manually and confirmed back to you — typically within a few days.

terms, plainly

atlas is preview software provided as-is, with no warranty. It is not a travel agency, not a payment service, and not legal, medical, or visa advice. Don't abuse the service (automated scraping, probing other people's trips, flooding join requests). Access can be revoked to protect the circles using it. These terms and this policy may change as atlas grows; this page always carries the current version.
